Jassem is a major city in southern Syria and an important agricultural hub in Daraa Governorate. The city was severely impacted by the conflict, with large-scale destruction of homes, schools, and vital infrastructure. Despite the damages, Jassem is gradually recovering, with residents returning and efforts to rebuild underway.

After the reconciliation agreements, many residents have returned to Jassem. However, the city still faces significant challenges due to damaged infrastructure and essential services. Reconstruction efforts are in progress, but the area continues to need external support for recovery and rebuilding, particularly in terms of electricity, water, and healthcare facilities.
