Water Transmission Company (WTCO) is an independent company wholly owned by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established pursuant to Council of Ministers Resolution No. (32), dated 11 Muharram 1441H, corresponding to 10 September 2019. The company represents the government, through the Supervisory Authority for the Privatization of the Environment, Water, and Agriculture Sector, in its ownership of WTCO. The establishment of WTCO is one of the outcomes of the Privatization Program in support of Saudi Vision 2030, and in alignment with the objectives of the National Water Strategy. WTCO seeks to position the Kingdom as a leader in water transmission and storage, while contributing to the assurance of long-term water security.
