Syrian Foreign Minister and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani received a phone call on Wednesday, April 15, from Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Bruyninckx, during which the two officials explored avenues for strengthening bilateral relations between Syria and the Netherlands.

The conversation focused on prospects for cooperation in the areas of rebuilding and development, as well as ways to support Syria through its current phase of recovery and state-building, according to a statement published by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on its official channels.

Both sides underscored the importance of deepening economic and investment cooperation, while also emphasizing the need for closer coordination on transitional justice, the missing persons file, and broader support for the Syrian government's efforts to consolidate stability and advance the rebuilding process.

The call reflects growing international engagement with the Syrian file. It follows a similar phone conversation held on March 17 between Minister al-Shaibani and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, which addressed the latest regional developments and ways to strengthen coordination between the two countries in the interest of security and stability.
