The Media Technology City, also known as "Damascus Gate," is a strategic media and arts production project in Damascus. A memorandum of understanding was signed on December 30, 2025, between the Ministry of Information and Al Maha International Company. It aims to establish a regional center for drama and cinema using state-of-the-art technologies, at a cost of $1.5 billion.

Location and area: Total area: 2 million square meters in Damascus and its countryside, designed for outdoor studios that mimic Arab-Islamic heritage, with indoor studios using 4K and VR technologies.

Key components: Studios: Over 50 (indoor/outdoor) for television and film production.

Training centers: Professional development programs for Syrian and Arab personnel.

Operational facilities: Showrooms, post-production labs, live broadcasting.

Support: Tourism and entertainment to attract international productions.
