Following the local reconciliation agreements, many residents have returned to Khan Shaykhun, but the town still faces significant challenges. Much of the infrastructure remains damaged, and essential services like healthcare, education, and electricity need substantial rebuilding. Reconstruction efforts continue with international support, though progress is slow due to ongoing security concerns.
